Frequently Asked Questions
What insurances are you in-network with?
Right now we are in-network with most major insurance networks including Cigna, Aetna, CareFirst BCBS, and UHC. We use Headway and Alma for billing. Please feel free to reach out using our contact form to confirm if we are in-network with your insurance. If we are not in-network with your insurance, we strongly encourage clients to look into their out-of-network benefits for possible reimbursement rates from their insurance company.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require a 24-hour notice of cancellation if you cannot attend your scheduled appointment. If you do not cancel within the 24-hour block, you will be charged the full amount of your session, whether it is the cash pay rate or the rate contracted with your specific insurance. It is your responsibility to get in touch with us and let us know you are cancelling your appointment in order to avoid this fee. We are happy to discuss what your individual cancellation fee is depending on your insurance/cash pay rate.
What is your schedule and availability?
Our typical office hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-6pm. We currently have two in-person days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) at our office in Kensington, MD. We see clients virtually on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We do not answer phone calls or emails in the evenings or on weekends.
What populations do you serve?
We primarily work with adults and young adults struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders, relationships, self-esteem, and stress. If during our work together, you realize you might need a therapist with a different style or approach, then we are happy to provide referrals or help you search for a therapist who might be a better fit.
